We hold a silent auction at our annual picnic which is normally in late July. The organizers in 2021 are Mary Jo Zane, Kay Fleming, Galia Vineyard, Darlene Erickson, Cathy Hesselman, and Susie Whipp. Starting in early summer you can donate anything by simply contacting one of them. As the auction approaches they have been known to reach out to people for such donations!
Other BOLPF fundraising consists of membership dues, memorials, sales of Black Oak related clothing or other items, various classes taught by knowlegeable members, the progressive dinner and outright donations and the “dollars for hours” program. This asks people to spend eight hours inspecting boats at the beach or to donate $100 which is about what we would have to pay an inspector for that amount of time.
