Planning Grant Program

Under the Planning Grant Program, The Wisconsin DNR provides funding to local governments and lake management organizations for the collection and analysis of information needed to manage lakes.

Black Oak Lake Program

The Black Oak Lake Program is covered by a 256 page document that combines Phases I through VI (2005 - 2015).  This extensive work covers Black Oak Lake History, Geology, Water Quality, Fishery, Aquatic Plants, Threats to the lake and much more. The work which produced it was paid for by multiple $10,000 DNR grants and hundreds of hours of volunteer time. This document will be loaded in web form in the upcoming months of 2015.
